Our client, located in Braeside is a leading manufacturer food products and flavours are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a full time position.
This is a critical position within our operations responsible for ensuring all mechanical equipment and machinery operates efficiently and reliably. You will play a role in maintaining the integrity of production systems, minimising downtime, supporting their commitment to supplying quality foods and flavours.
Responsibilities:
Provide preventative maintenance for all production machinery and production equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns promptly to minimise production disruptions
Operate and troubleshoot machinery using hand tools, power tools
Identify worn parts and replace damaged parts as required
Change bearings and clean production machines and production equipment as needed
Adhere to all health and safety, food safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
Strong mechanical background with practical experience within mechanical maintenance preferably in manufacturing or food production environment
Strong proficiency within hand tools, power tools, and mechanical diagnostic equipment
Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and maintenance manuals
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and equipment servicing procedures and documentation
Forward thinking and must have excellent problem solving skills
Strong attention to details a provide a commitment to accuracy in all maintenance work
