Overview

United Rentals is seeking a reliable and motivated Installer to join our team in Laverton North, Victoria. This is a hands-on role involving the installation, operation and maintenance of pump and dewatering systems across a range of sites.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely install, modify and remove trench shields, trench boxes, hydraulic shoring, slide rail systems, sheet piling support systems and associated propping equipment

• Ensure equipment is installed in line with the relevant Australian and New Zealand Standards and within product design criteria

• Read and interpret installation drawings, engineered plans and site instructions

• Assist with loading, unloading and securing equipment for transport

• Identify damaged, non-compliant or defective equipment and report accordingly

• Liaise with site supervisors, contractors and project personnel regarding installation requirements and site conditions

• Provide practical operational support and guidance relating to trench and shoring equipment usage where appropriate

• Maintain tools, lifting gear and installation equipment in a safe and serviceable condition

• Complete required documentation including installation records, inspection checklists and service reports

• Ensure compliance with relevant Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) including the safe operation of tools and equipment
  

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in pumps, dewatering, civil works, plumbing, mechanical or similar site-based roles

• Ability to work independently on site and as part of a team

• Strong safety awareness and practical problem-solving skills

• Confident communicating with customers and site personnel

• Willingness to learn and undertake training where required
