Good Measure has spent five years building something we're proud of. What started as a cafe on Lygon Street has become one of Melbourne's most recognised spaces — and now, we're taking the next step.

We're expanding our food program into territory we haven't explored before, and we're looking for a baker who can grow with us. This is a foundational role in a new operation. You'll have real creative input, real responsibility, and real standards to meet.

What you'll be doing

• Producing a wide range of baked goods — cakes, roll cakes, doughs, and assorted sweets

• Contributing directly to menu development as we push into new areas

• Maintaining the consistency and care our customers expect from everything we put out

• Owning your station — organised, process-driven, and ahead of the curve

• Working closely with the team as we build and refine this new chapter

What we're looking for

• Solid, hands-on experience across baked goods — cakes, roll cakes, doughs, a variety of sweets

• Genuine creative capability, paired with the discipline to execute it well

• Strong organisational instincts

• Someone who takes pride in the detail and holds themselves to a high standard

• Adaptability in a fast-moving, growth-stage environment where things are still being shaped

• Note: pastry and lamination experience is not required for this role
