About the company:

Australia's largest manufacturer of Off-Road accessories servicing the automotive and camping industries for 50 years. Brand name synonymous with quality,prestige and with a reputation that sees them as the leaders in design and innovation in 4x4.

We are looking for an experienced purchasing officer to join the team with the hours being 8:30am - 5pm.You would be responsible for converting internal purchase requisitions into purchase orders, ensuring business rules and supplier requirements, then issuing orders to suppliers.

Please note this role will start initially as a 3 month contract/probation period with full-time opportunities after that for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities:

  • Convert purchase requisitions raised by branches/stock control and planners to purchase orders on suppliers
  • Schedule overseas shipments with 3PL provider and liaise with warehouse to smooth container deliveries
  • Create shipments in the system and move them in Transit
  • Monitor and updateETA and delivery status of incoming goods and communicate to stakeholders
  • Adhere to the supplier delivery management process
Requirements

Key requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in purchasing or procurement
  • Skilled in negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships
  • Ability to work under time pressure, manage multiple priorities and high-volume emails
  • Possess mid-level to strong capability in MS Office suite of products(Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent time management, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
