Bell Street Family Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse to join our dedicated and friendly team for an immediate start. We are an accredited practice located on Bell Street, Pascoe Vale South.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary role of the nurse is to support our busy doctors with day-to-day duties, including:

Childhood and adult Immunizations 
Assisting with minor procedures (e.g. cannulations, iron infusions, PRP, skin checks & lesion removals, circumcision & vasectomy etc.)
Chronic disease management plans
Patient triage
Wound Care
Completing chronic disease management plans and health assessments
Stock management
Quality Improvement
Infection control
Cold chain management
Support with the accreditation process
Recalls and reminders
ECG

This role can be fast paced at times, so the ability to effectively manage busy situations is essential. Our nursing staff are expected to work both collaboratively as part of the practice team and independently when required, including occasional help at reception.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Relevant nursing qualifications (RN1 desired but not essential, EN can apply)

  • Current AHPRA registration

  • Nursing experience of at least 2 years in General Practice

  • Strong IT skills, desirably with experience using Medical Director/Pracsoft, and external systems such as AIR, PRODA & Cubiko.

  • A keen work ethic and enthusiasm to contribute within a team environment
