As a national supplier joinery products to the construction and building markets, this well known brand and successful business is looking to continue its growth locally by focusing their channel activity and bring on board an experienced sales and account manager who can support their customer base whilst helping drive sales outcomes for the VIC region.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a sales professional looking to grow sales within the VIC region, whilst supporting existing clients and developing new business opportunities. As a key part of the team, you will have autonomy to deliver great customer outcomes within your assigned customer base as well as develop new sales and project opportunities across your territory. You will be armed with a strong brand, a great reputation in the market and you will utilise this to forge long term relationships within your customer base.

Skills Required

As an experienced Business developer and sales professional, you will have a high level of customer service and ability to build relationships. The role will consist of the following:

  • Build relationships with builders and construction trades to drive sales outcomes

  • Prior experience in a trade (carpentry / joinery) would be ideal.

  • Experience managing a territory and call cycle in previous roles.

  • Ability to walk onto building sites and qualify current and future job opportunities.

  • Strong ability to build rapport with customers, problem solve and provide a high level of customer service.

  • Able to deal with multiple levels of decision makers (blue and white collar)

  • Strong attention to detail and able to report new opportunities to leadership

Experience needed

  • Experience the building / construction market as a sales person

  • Outgoing personality and able to provide a high level of customer service.

  • Able to maintain a customer call cycle and travel as required to see customers

  • Customer focused and able to add value to an existing customer base

  • Great attitude and able to build rapport quickly with key stakeholders

Reporting to the Commercial Services Manager based in Melbourne you will be given the support and guidance needed to be successful in your role. The right attitude and a willingness to work to solid sales outcomes will be key to success with this organisation.
