Full time
Therapeutic Guidelines Limited is an independent, not-for-profit organisation established almost 50 years ago by leading members of the Australian healthcare community. Over time, Therapeutic Guidelines has evolved into Australia’s leading digital healthcare publisher, delivering trusted resources including Therapeutic Guidelines, Australian Prescriber, Don’t Rush to Crush, and ObesiD.
You will sit at the intersection of business and technology, translating complex stakeholder requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications, driving agile delivery workflows, and ensuring that what we build genuinely solves the right problems.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role in a lean, cross-functional technology team. You will lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage the product backlog in collaboration with stakeholders, produce detailed documentation including user stories, solution designs, and process flows, and act as the key liaison between business users and development teams across our digital platform portfolio.
Our products span web, iOS and Android applications, integrations, and platform infrastructure and all in service of delivering reliable, clinically trusted content to Australian healthcare professionals. The quality of your analysis directly shapes the quality of what we ship.
You will bring solid technical depth alongside sharp communication skills, comfortable discussing React, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines in one conversation, and presenting a business case or facilitation retrospectives in the next. You thrive working across disciplines, can work up and downstream within the SDLC, and are energised by the challenge of turning ambiguity into clear, well-reasoned outcomes.
You will join an organisation with an exceptional team culture. We are deeply connected to our vision and the impact we have in Australian healthcare. Our people are highly collaborative, purpose-driven, and proud of the trust we have built over decades.
About you
You are a technically grounded business analyst who moves with equal confidence between stakeholder workshops and technical design sessions. You write user stories that developers can actually build from, you run Agile ceremonies that generate real outcomes, and you produce documentation that serves the team long after delivery. You take ownership of your work, operate with high autonomy, and bring both rigour and curiosity to everything you touch.
Essential
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst, or several years in software engineering or solution design combined with 3+ years as a Business Analyst in a software product environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives, story writing, and estimation.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills — user stories, acceptance criteria, functional and technical specifications, solution designs, and process flows.
• Solid technical background including working knowledge of web technologies (React, JavaScript, PWA), mobile application development, and cloud platforms (MS Azure, AWS).
• Experience with BDD/Gherkin acceptance criteria (e.g. Cucumber) and requirement traceability matrices.
• Proficiency in tools including JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Lucidchart or Visio, Miro, and MS Azure DevOps.
• Experience managing and prioritising a product backlog in close collaboration with stakeholders, product managers, and engineers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work across cross-functional teams and manage competing stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced delivery environment.
Desirable
• Experience in digital publishing, healthcare, or another regulated sector where content accuracy and compliance are critical.
• Scrum, SAFe, or other Agile/product management certification.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Browserstack, Selenium, or Cucumber.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipeline practices.
• Experience with solution design involving CRM, IDAM, B2C, or Salesforce integrations.
• UX/UI design awareness and experience working alongside or within design processes.
• Experience delivering online platform builds or digital content products.
