With campuses in Victoria and South Australia, and ambitious expansion plans into Queensland and West Australia, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support our continued growth and commitment to organisational excellence.
Purpose of the Role
As HR Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering efficient, compliant, and high-quality human resources services across both SCEI and SCEI-HE. You will coordinate core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, compliance, and employee experience initiatives, contributing directly to a positive, professional, and supportive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Coordination
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job advertising, candidate sourcing, interview coordination, offer preparation, and employment contract issuance.
- Coordinate seamless onboarding, induction programs, and probation reviews to ensure new employees integrate effectively.
- Maintain accurate employee records, staff files, and HR databases in compliance with privacy and legislative requirements.
- Support the coordination of performance reviews and related documentation.
- Manage staff leave tracking, entitlements, and payroll-related HR queries.
- Handle staff exits, including documentation, exit interviews, and record updates.
- Review and maintain up-to-date job descriptions across all departments.
HR Administration & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act 2009, National Employment Standards, and relevant education sector regulations.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and staff handbooks.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing accurate and timely HR documentation.
- Manage training records, professional development tracking, and compliance requirements (including Work Health and Safety).
- Provide timely and responsive support on routine HR queries from staff and managers.
Employee Support & Engagement
- Contribute to staff wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
- Liaise with recruitment agencies and external stakeholders as required.
- Deliver high-quality administrative support to senior management on HR-related matters.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in HR administration or coordination.
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation (Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards).
- Proven experience in recruitment coordination and employee onboarding.
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience working in the education, training, or RTO sector.
- Familiarity with HRIS or payroll systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
