We currently have an exciting full-time opportunity in our Supported Employment Hospitality Division for a Hospitality All-Rounder!
Based at Sages Café in Baxter, this role focuses on supporting people with a disability to develop a broad range of hospitality skills. This includes front-of-house and back-of-house operations, barista training, food preparation and cooking skills, understanding café culture, and delivering excellent customer service and retail experiences.
You will work closely with individuals and small groups (up to two people) to build their hospitality knowledge and confidence, empowering them to achieve their employment goals and greater independence.
Work pattern: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:06pm
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 12 months hospitality experience
Strong barista and front-of-house skills
Cooking skills
General understanding of food handling procedures and food hygiene practices
Ability to provide support with active engagement and a positive attitude toward on-the-job disability training
A genuine passion for empowering people with disabilities to achieve their best – bring your unique talents to their journey!
Commitment to advocating for community inclusion and delivering person-centered support that exceeds standards – think creatively!
Resourceful and innovative approach to creating opportunities for those we support – make social change happen
Strong communication skills; ability to prevent and resolve issues and to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
Strong administration and computer skills for accurate documentation
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to exceptional service delivery and a demonstrated professional approach to work
Commitment to the principles of WHS, EEO, Cultural Diversity and all relevant legislation.
Must haves
Right to work in Australia
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Certificate in First Aid Level 2 + CPR
RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) Certificate
Do Food Safely Certificate
Full Victorian driver licence.
