COOK – Full Time

Hunky Dory Fish & Chips Templestowe Lower is a well-established and busy seafood restaurant committed to providing high-quality food and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

Location: Templestowe Lower, VIC

Salary: $73,150 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook fish, seafood, chips and other menu items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
Ensure all food is prepared and presented consistently and efficiently
Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation standards
Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
Assist with stock control, stock rotation and ordering of ingredients
Minimise food wastage and contribute to efficient kitchen operations
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service

Requirements:

Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or at least 2 years of relevant work experience
Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
