FT salary $85,000 - $97, 5000 plus $15K car allowance and super. Extra mileage allowance for regional trips.

Evac Services is a recognised leader in emergency planning, evacuation management, compliance, and workplace safety training. For more than 15 years, we have partnered with government agencies, major corporations, property groups, educational institutions, and small businesses to protect people, minimise risk, and achieve compliance.

As our Victorian operations continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and engaging Emergency Planning Trainer & Consultant to join our Melbourne team.

The Opportunity

This is not a desk-bound compliance role.

The heart of this position is training, coaching, and educating people. You will deliver emergency planning and evacuation training across a diverse range of workplaces, helping organisations build safer environments and stronger emergency preparedness.

Some regional travel will be required, (approximately 8 days per month.)

Success in this role comes from your ability to communicate complex information in a practical, engaging, and relatable way.

You will be comfortable presenting to:

  • Corporate Property Managers and Facilities Managers

  • Government employees and senior stakeholders

  • Building Wardens and Emergency Control Organisations

  • School staff and community groups

  • Retail and hospitality teams

  • Young workers entering the workforce for the first time

Whether you are speaking with a CEO, a facilities manager, or a teenager working their first casual job, you know how to adjust your communication style to build rapport and achieve positive learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging emergency planning and evacuation training programs

  • Conduct emergency exercises, drills, and practical training sessions

  • Facilitate workshops and presentations to diverse audiences

  • Provide advice on emergency planning and compliance requirements

  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

  • Prepare reports and documentation to a high professional standard

  • Travel throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria as required

About You

You are first and foremost an exceptional trainer and communicator.

You enjoy standing in front of groups, facilitating learning, and helping people understand important information in a practical and memorable way.

You will ideally possess:

  • Previous experience delivering workplace training, facilitation, or education programs

  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills

  • The ability to engage audiences with varying levels of knowledge, experience, and confidence

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build rapport

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • A professional and client-focused approach

  • Confidence working independently while remaining a collaborative team member

  • The ability to travel to regional areas, approx. eight nights away from home per month.

Highly Regarded

  • Emergency Planning, Emergency Management, WHS, Safety, Compliance, or Training experience

  • Experience delivering training within government, commercial property, education, hospitality, or retail environments

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or similar training qualification

  • Experience facilitating adult learning programs
