Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor

Are you a practical WHS professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing trusted advice to stakeholders?

We are recruiting a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor for a 12-week contract from 29 June to 21 September 2026. Working within a supportive team of three, you will provide operational safety support while a team member is on leave.

Based in Melbourne's CBD, this role offers a mix of incident management, stakeholder engagement, contractor management and safety systems administration. A comprehensive handover will be provided before you take ownership of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage hazards, incidents and safety actions
• Triage incidents and provide practical WHS advice
• Support contractor onboarding and management processes
• Maintain safety records, reporting and compliance requirements
• Assist with investigations and corrective actions
• Support compliance with Victorian WHS legislation
• Manage information within contractor and safety management systems

About You

• Certificate IV in WHS (or higher)
• Previous experience (3+years) in a WHS Advisor, Safety Advisor or Coordinator role
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and compliance
• Experience managing incidents, hazards and corrective actions
• Excellent administration, organisation and communication skills
• Ability to prioritise effectively in a high-volume environment
• Confident building relationships across all levels of an organisation

We're looking for someone who is practical, proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable working independently while knowing when to escalate issues.

Requirements: Working With Children Check, Police Check, two professional references and unrestricted Australian working rights.
