THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity exists for a committed and passionate individual to join the Office for Youth as a Project Officer.
You will provide project management, policy, administrative and business support for the Youth portfolio to improve outcomes for young people in Victoria. This role plays a critical coordination function within the unit, requiring strong attention to detail, highly developed organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities to ensure work is delivered accurately and on time.
You will work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team providing authoritative and high-quality advice to the Minister for Youth and senior executives on a wide range of matters of strategic and/or critical impact. Responsibilities include supporting the delivery and monitoring of grant programs, maintaining key processes and systems and contributing to key policy initiatives.
We are seeking someone who is proactive, flexible and is a supportive team player with excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and organisation skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with systems, able to quickly learn new tools and processes, and has an understanding of issues impacting young people across Victoria.
