About the Role
Just for u Care is seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality, complex care support for a client based in Nilma North. This is a casual role offering 10–20 hours per week, with the right candidate ideally living locally or in the surrounding area.
Pay: AU$43.23 – AU$77.81 per hour (casual, inclusive of 25% casual loading; rate varies based on shift type and SCHADS Award classification)
Comprehensive tracheostomy training and competency assessment will be provided prior to commencing with the client.
Key Responsibilities
Manual handling, hoisting, slide sheets, repositioning, and electric wheelchair operation
High-dependency personal care: showering, toileting, continence care, pressure care, and dignity-focused support
Following detailed clinical care plans and emergency procedures
Respiratory support, PEG feeding, or similar high-dependency care (highly regarded)
About You
Experience supporting clients with complex physical disabilities (e.g. Motor Neuron Disease, Spinal Cord Injury, Acquired Brain Injury)
Confident manual handling and hoist skills — essential
Clear communicator, comfortable with clinical routines
Current driver's licence and own vehicle
Certificate III or IV in Aged Care/Disability, Division 2 Nursing, or equivalent
Available to work 10–20 hours per week on a casual basis
Demonstrated understanding of infection prevention and control, including PPE use and hand hygiene
