THE ROLE

The Team Leader, Relocations plays a key role in designing, planning, and delivering well-coordinated household relocations. The role will lead a team of relocations officers that connect directly with public housing renters throughout their relocation process, from first engagement to being moved into the new home.

The Team Leader, Relocations will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders under the direction of the Manager, Relocations Operations.

The position requires project management, people management and client service delivery capabilities. These general capabilities reflect those required to perform functions across other business units within Homes Victoria and the department's Community Operations and Practice Leadership Division. The position may at times be requested to undertake such functions to support the business priorities of Homes Victoria and the department.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Lead various relocation projects across the Big Housing Build and other capital works projects within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide relocation staff members to improve their service delivery competencies and maximise their contribution to achieve service outcomes.
  • Contact renters to discuss their relocation, their household requirements and manage renter expectations.
