About the role
We are seeking for an immediate start a Senior Barista/Customer Service professional that holds a Food Safety Supervisors certificate to be part of the team at our South Geelong location on a permanent part-time basis. In this role, you will be a key member of our customer-facing team, responsible for delivering exceptional service, preparing high-quality beverages, and maintaining our standards of excellence.
Key responsibilities
-Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee drinks and beverages to a consistently high standard
-Operate espresso machines and other coffee equipment with technical proficiency and care
-Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, handling both cash and card transactions
-Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised work environment, including regular cleaning and restocking of supplies
-Support and train junior team members, demonstrating correct techniques and fostering a collaborative team atmosphere
-Manage peak service periods with composure and efficiency
-Contribute to inventory management and stock rotation practice
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a barista with customer service experience within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of espresso-based drinks and the ability to prepare beverages consistently to a high standard
Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional hospitality
Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy periods whilst maintaining quality and attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual and professional with a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is essential
