Join an Iconic Australian Organisation

We are partnering with a highly recognised Australian organisation seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team on an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large, complex enterprise environment, partnering closely with technology and business leaders to drive financial transparency, cost optimisation, and strategic decision-making.

The Opportunity

As a trusted finance partner, you will work closely with Enterprise Services and key business stakeholders to understand the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of technology assets, identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, and support effective investment decisions across the organisation.
This role will suit a commercially minded finance professional with strong experience in technology financial management, costing models, and asset accounting within large-scale corporate environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with asset owners and business stakeholders to understand and manage the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of technology assets.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support cost optimisation and investment decisions.
  • Manage and enhance costing methodologies and applications across a complex enterprise environment.
  • Analyse technology value chains and identify key cost drivers impacting business performance.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards relating to capitalisation of assets and treatment of intangible assets.
  • Deliver accurate financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and business partnering support.
  • Influence stakeholders through data-driven insights and independent thinking.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Significant experience managing a costing application within a large and complex organisation.
  • Strong understanding of technology value chains and associated cost drivers within a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in Technology Business Management (TBM) and financial management.
  • Deep knowledge of accounting standards, particularly asset capitalisation and intangible asset treatment.
  • The ability to think independently, challenge constructively, and maintain integrity under pressure.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in finance, commercial, or business partnering roles.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
