This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial and/or personal insurance clients, acting as the primary point of contact for policy inquiries, renewals, amendments, and claims support. Day-to-day, the Account Manager will review client needs, prepare quotations, compare policy options, and liaise with insurers to secure suitable coverage and pricing. The role includes preparing policy documentation, maintaining accurate records in internal systems, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. The Account Manager will also proactively identify opportunities to broaden coverage, cross-sell relevant products, and support business development initiatives while collaborating closely with colleagues in broking, claims, and operations.Qualifications Proven experience in insurance account management, broking, or a similar client-facing role within general insurance.Strong client relationship and communication skills, with the ability to explain insurance concepts clearly and professionally.Solid understanding of general insurance products, policy wordings, and underwriting principles, or the ability to rapidly develop this knowledge.High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, policy processing, and record management.Proficiency with office productivity tools and brokerage or CRM systems, and comfort working with digital workflows.Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple client priorities and meeting deadlines.Ability to work collaboratively in an office-based team environment while taking ownership of individual responsibilities.Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., Tier 1 in General Insurance or equivalent) or willingness to obtain them within a defined timeframe.Commitment to ethical practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous professional development.Previous experience in the Greater Melbourne insurance market is an advantage but not required.
