We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join a collaborative finance team on a contract. This role will provide hands-on support across a broad range of financial operations, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of finance services while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

It is a 3 months contract role at VPS 4.

Key Responsibilities

Process invoices, payments and accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
Perform account reconciliations and support day-to-day financial operations
Maintain accurate financial records, databases and financial management systems
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting activities
Support month-end and year-end finance processes
Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up payment-related matters
Assist with the implementation and improvement of financial processes and systems
Prepare financial reports and provide data analysis to support decision-making

About You

Demonstrated experience in a Finance Officer, Accounts Officer or similar finance position
Strong accounts payable and financial administration experience
Sound understanding of financial principles, controls and compliance requirements
Experience with reconciliations, financial reporting and data management
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Previous experience working within government or the public sector
