We're partnering with one of Melbourne's leading property developers to recruit a Finance Analyst. Based in Melbourne's CBD, this role sits within the Finance team and offers broad exposure across debt management, financial modelling, covenant compliance and lender reporting. Our client is one of Melbourne's most established developers, with a multi-billion dollar completed portfolio and an extensive pipeline of industrial, commercial and build-to-rent projects — and the business has the culture and energy to match.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong finance professional who wants genuine ownership, commercial exposure and the chance to work closely with senior leadership in a dynamic environment.

You will play a key role in keeping the group's substantial debt book in good shape - managing compliance, supporting lender relationships and ensuring the modelling and reporting that underpins the business is accurate and timely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage covenant compliance across the group's debt facilities, ensuring the business remains on track at all times
  • Prepare drawdown requests and coordinate with quantity surveyors on construction facility progressions
  • Build, maintain and refine financial models supporting debt management, valuations and cash flow forecasting
  • Prepare information memoranda and reporting packs to be presented to major banks and non-bank lenders
  • Coordinate internal property valuations and liaise with external valuers to support bank and audit requirements
  • Prepare monthly treasury reports and contribute to board-level reporting and annual budgeting
  • Liaise with asset managers and development managers across the business to understand asset performance and project status
  • Support senior leadership on interest rate hedging strategy and funding decisions for new projects
About You
  • CA qualified (or near completion)
  • Strong financial modelling capability, comfortable building and refining models from scratch in Excel, not just working within existing templates
  • Experience in a property environment (desirable but not essential)
  • Confident engaging with internal stakeholders and external lenders
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and communicate performance clearly to banks and lenders
  • Commercially minded, proactive and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships across a business and represent the team externally
Why Join?
  • Up to $130,000 base + super
  • Hybrid working with 1 day from home per week
  • Broad, commercially exposed Finance Analyst role with genuine ownership
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership, major banks and a substantial property portfolio
  • Large Melbourne property developer with a multi-billion dollar pipeline
  • Strong team culture, collaborative, down-to-earth and energetic, with a young, switched-on team
