Requirements for this role:

Big Ben Specialty Foods Pty Ltd is a growing importer, wholesaler and distributor of specialty

food products supplying retail, wholesale and online sales channels throughout Australia.

We are seeking an Accountant to support the company's financial reporting, business

analysis and financial management functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts, financial reports and cash flow forecasts.

• Analyse financial performance, profitability and operating costs across business

operations.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.

• Monitor inventory valuation, stock costing and landed costs associated with imported

products.

• Prepare financial schedules and supporting documentation for month-end reporting,

external accountants and compliance requirements.

• Develop and maintain financial controls, reporting procedures and accounting processes.

• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to support management

decision-making.

• Liaise with external accountants, auditors and financial institutions as required.

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

• Relevant accounting experience.

• Demonstrated experience using QuickBooks accounting software is essential.

• Strong financial reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Experience in wholesale, distribution, import/export or e-commerce environments will be

highly regarded.

• Experience working with inventory-based businesses will be advantageous.
