Exciting Opportunity - Fast Growing Business

Are your ready to join a dynamic, successful and fast growing business.  Our Group owns and manages a diverse portfolio of investments spanning trading businesses, real estate, and financial assets.  We are seeking an Accounting and Financial Manager to play a key role in managing the financial operations of the Group's entities. This is a broad role suited to a self-starter who enjoys "hands-on" accounting but also has the business acumen to partner with different teams and improve internal workflows. This role offers a generous salary package, reflecting the successful candidate's expertise and experience.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvement: To enhance business processes, procedures, and internal controls to drive efficiency

  • Full Set Accounting: Manage Sales and Purchase invoices and the end-to-end AP & AR function

  • Cash Flow & Settlements: Liaise with external counterparts to ensure timely payments and collections

  • Reconciliations: Perform and review general ledger and account reconciliations (Statement vs Ledger) to ensure accuracy

  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive management reports for senior leadership review

  • Compliance: Conduct periodic audit checks for management review

  • Ad Hoc: Generate ad-hoc analysis and financial reports as per business requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have experience managing full sets of accounts within an SME or medium-sized environment.  Key qualifications and experience include:

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in a similar role within a complex organization. Prior experience in internal/external audit or management is an advantage

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business with solid technical knowledge

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xero is essential

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and effectively

  • Work Style: Fast learner and multitasker who thrives under pressure. Work autonomously with minimal supervision but value teamwork

  • Attention to Detail: Take pride in accuracy and have a keen eye for details

  • Able to travel between Docklands office and Campbellfield Office
