SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (BUSINESS SERVICES/TAX)

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Preparation of financial statements (year-end & interim) & tax returns  

  • Preparation of monthly & quarterly BAS/IAS 

  • Liaison with clients re: missing information & queries etc

  • Reconciliation of Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Reckon & other software

  • Report to Partners for review, queries & progress on clients

  • Research tax-related issues & provide advice to clients

  • Any other ad-hoc jobs as required

 REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

  • 5+ years’ solid accounting experience in Australian Public Practice

  • CA/CPA qualified

  • Exposure to a broad range of tax, accounting & business matters preferably with previous experience in mid-sized firms

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills

  • Flexible & adaptable approach

  • A desire to learn & work collaboratively as an enthusiastic team player

  • Strong technical & organisational skills
