Accounts Payable & Payroll Officer

Industry leading paint manufacturer, based in Seaford, requires Accounts and Payroll Officer. This busy role will be working across multiple entities, including a USA business in a shared service environment. The Accounts and Payroll Officer plays a vital role in the timely processing of payroll and finance department functions. The role also includes assisting other areas of the business as required. 

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Process daily banking and bank statements

  • Credit control function for sales orders

  • Reconcile debtors statements and debt collection

  • New account applications

  • Accurately and timely processing of high volume vendor invoices including receive invoices, check for accuracy and match with purchase orders and delivery dockets

  • Processing Credit Card transactions

  • Processing and payment to vendor with weekly and monthly EFT payments

  • Ensure compliance with appropriate authorization procedures

  • Reconcile Vendors Statements

  • Filing and Ad-hoc administration duties

Payroll

Main Responsibilities will include

  • Processing time sheets / Clock card data

  • Completing multiple Fortnightly Payrolls

  • Responding to payroll inquiries in a timely and friendly manner

  • Maintaining employee files and records

  • Assist in data reconciling for weekly labour hire invoicing

  • Setting up new employees, terminations and leave requests

  • Maintenance of staff files both electronic and hardcopy

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in medium sized company in a similar role

  • Broad experience in general accounting duties including accounts payable and receivable

  • Demonstrated proficiency and accuracy of data entry

  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, is a prerequisite

  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all areas

  • Eagerness to continually learn and develop new skills

  • Good work ethic and a positive attitude

Experience with Pronto Xi or franchises will be a big advantage, but is not necessary. With a high team-orientation you will have a great work ethic and be looking to build your career in a highly successful and fast growing organization
