The Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function through accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance activities and process improvement initiatives. This position offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to contribute to business-critical financial outcomes.

• Preparing and maintaining bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
• Assisting with cashflow reporting, forecasting and treasury-related activities
• Supporting accounts payable and receivable processes
• Preparing journals, accruals, prepayments and month-end adjustments
• Assisting with monthly management reporting and financial analysis
• Supporting variance analysis and providing commentary on key financial movements
• Assisting with statutory reporting, year-end processes and external audit requirements
• Supporting BAS, FBT, payroll tax and income tax reconciliations
• Providing ad hoc reporting and analysis to finance leadership and business stakeholders

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

You will possess:

• 2-5 years' experience in a financial accounting or management accounting role
• CA or CPA qualification (completed or currently studying)
• Previous experience within retail, FMCG, consumer products or a large complex organisation
• Strong Xero experience, including financial reporting and general ledger activities
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis
• Strong reconciliation, reporting and analytical capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to learn
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Professionalism, integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality
